Ranjit Singh Gill is the son of Dr. Khem Singh Gill, former Vice-Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana (PAU).

At the age of 24 he was pursuing his Masters in Plant Breeding and Genetics at PAU and was due to submit his thesis. He had received an offer of fellowship from Kansas State to undertake doctoral research which he was planning to take-up soon after. But just months later in 1985, Kuki Gill found himself charged with the murder of prominent Congress politician Lalit Maken and his wife Geetanjali following the aftermath of the 1984 riots in Delhi.

Ranjeet Singh is a Southampton-born historian and commentator on the Sikh faith, culture and heritage. He studied Architecture at the Universities of Manchester and Melbourne, going on to teach at the former. His dissertation focused on Punjabi-Sikh architectural, and urban, space-place relations within Britain.

Harwinder Singh Mander is an English-born broadcaster and producer. After studying Law at university, Harwinder worked for a record label and then for a number of film companies to gain experience of the entertainment industry. Throughout this period, he produced shows for Sikh radio stations and Punjabi television channels, as well as a number of independent pilot episodes for the internet.

In 2006, he launched Naujawani.com, an internet radio station and internet-TV venture broadcasting content for a Global Sikh and Punjabi audience.
